I have it all configurable from the user data for exactly that reason. It is documented here: http://www.webperformancecentral.com/wiki/WebPagetest/EC2

I just built the images over the last two days so they may not be final but they are looking good so far.Patrick Meenanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16482126817753317557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-537292020947772033.post-60612592598854957312010-10-28T17:39:24.868-04:002010-10-28T17:39:24.868-04:00How about testing mobile performance? How about testing mobile performance?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07858074897556111844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-537292020947772033.post-22334464023085571592010-10-28T17:36:15.079-04:002010-10-28T17:36:15.079-04:00Played with EC2 instances in Singapore, didnt coll...Played with EC2 instances in Singapore, didnt collect any numbers as such, but they felt similar in performance and consistancy to a normal VPS or a 1 GB winxp virtualbox on my i7 desktop....

The upside with EC2 is that the spot instances are usually very cheap... and while running bulk tests, you can have 100s of instances at your command for dirt cheap. It could be because I'm using small instances (1 core) and 2003 server but thanks for the link. Worst-case it looks like there is a boot.ini work-around that I can use if it shows up since I'm on 2003.Patrick Meenanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16482126817753317557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-537292020947772033.post-67291939126649456782010-10-28T16:48:08.131-04:002010-10-28T16:48:08.131-04:00Is webpagetest impacted by the issues EC2 has with...Is webpagetest impacted by the issues EC2 has with QueryPerformanceCounter() ?

http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/thread.jspa?threadID=41426&start=0&tstart=0Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
